They are stripping away freedom layer by layer. The ability to use cash is essential for privacy. They want to eliminate privacy.
It seems to be all part of an agenda to move society into a "new normal" of total control. It is the repudiation of the entire history of Western Civilisation since the Enlightenment. It is a return to a type of feudalism. You could call it technocratic feudalism.
Along with this, it would seem that massive population reduction is also part of the plan. The deliberate shut down of economies and the ban on travel will soon bring this to fruition. The world cannot sustain a population of 7.5 billion without freedom of movement of both goods and people.
There will soon be a catastrophic collapse unless borders are opened and all blocks on economic activity lifted.
