The Trump deadline for Iran to unconditionally surrender is 8 pm US East Coast time today, Tuesday, April 7, 2026.
That's 7 AM Hanoi/Bangkok time, or midday Sydney time, on Wednesday morning, April 8, 2026.
It is my belief that a final US plan and decision to destroy all civilian power plants and bridges in Iran was made BEFORE Tump put out his unhinged announcement.
The disinformation telling us of serious and unverifiable negotiations via Pakistan was only done so that Iran could be blamed for the US-Israel operation to metaphorically return them to the stone age.
This final act of vengeance and barbarity will be Trump's "off ramp" enabling him declare victory to the world and the American people.
He will then gradually withdraw his forces so that he can claim "the war is over" in time for the US midterm elections.
The US will then continue to push Iran into a failed state status, wracked by civil war and sectarian violence, like Iraq, Lybia, Syria, Lebanon, Gaza, using Israel as a proxy. This has always been the objective of Netanyahu and Trump.
The USA will pour US$ hundreds of millions into Israel's IDF, appropriated from the $200 billion Trump wants Congress to approve for continued operations against Iran.
I hope I'm wrong.
