There's a difference between feeling emotional because a song inspires you or touches your heart and hysterical idol worship.

Example. This song never fails to bring me to tears if I really listen and open my heart to it. Am I a fan of Eric Bogle - sure! Do I cry when I see him up on stage - lol no π€£ - I respect the music and by implication the man, but that's not always correlated.
Neil Young for example - I like some of his songs but on a personal level he makes me want to vomitΒ
Taylor Swift? She was ok until she became an icon whose songs are written by teams of professional songwriters and probably AI. That doesn't mean they're necessarily bad songs but the focus and hype on the icon is somewhat nauseating.
