EXPLOSIVE DEBATE

At the end you can see the US-Israel propaganda machine is now trying to take the high moral ground comparing Iran to the rearmament of Germany in 1933.

The exaggerated fear of an Iranian atomic bomb is also played to the full.  It is clearly a furphy.

US imperialism as a cause of a war of agression was not raised in the debate.  Perhaps by now it is simply “taken as granted” by the de facto spokesman for Iran, the irrepressible professor Morandi.

The “50 thousand innocent protestors murdered by the regime” argument is becoming surreal and ridiculous.

If you are thinking of a distinct, traditional piece of Australian slang that sounds very similar, the word is actually a furphy, which means an erroneous or improbable rumor, a tall story, or a fib.

Origin: The term dates back to World War I and derives from horse-drawn water and waste carts manufactured by the Furphy Foundry in Victoria.

Usage: Soldiers and locals gathered around these water carts to exchange gossip and news, which frequently turned out to be false or exaggerated. Today, calling something a "furphy" means it is unbelievable or "fake news".

As the world watches, both nations remain locked in a stalemate with rigid "bright red lines." The U.S. demands a guarantee against nuclear weapons and a permanently open Hormuz Strait, while Iran is calling for total sanctions relief, war reparations, and continued control over its nuclear assets. Joining Piers Morgan to navigate this diplomatic minefield is Doron Spielman, the newly appointed international spokesman for Benjamin Netanyahu as well as Professor Mohammed Marandi and lawyer Alan Dershowitz. Uncensored tackles the tough questions: Can this administration steer us away from a war that is draining U.S. munitions, inflating global gas prices, and shattering crucial alliances? Is peace even possible, or are we …
