This is an emotional account from my experience, and I want to warn you that "a sorcerer dies because of a ghost."

        Last week, I went to explore Pattaya. I stayed near Jomtien Beach, having booked the hotel online. It was the rainy season, and my accommodation was near a park so I could jog every day. Luckily, my place was right on the beach, but the ocean view wasn't fully obstructed by the tall condo buildings. I explored the area after a long absence since the COVID-19 pandemic; everything was so quiet back then. Now, it's grown again. I noticed a lot of foreigners living around Jomtien, and there are many bars and prostitutes who are quite loud and aggressive, so I avoided walking past them. On the beach, I found the sand to be very coarse, perfect for beach volleyball. The water wasn't very clear; you'd have to go to an island to swim. Unfortunately, I didn't go to an island because the water was black, it was raining, and there was an oil spill, covering many tourists in oil that was almost impossible to wash off. So, I stayed in the hotel and watched TV. The next morning, I went to a sauna near my accommodation. The service cost 300 baht per person. It had motorcycle parking, restrooms, and changing rooms for men and women. There's food and drinks, Wi-Fi, massages, a steam room, sauna, swimming pool, hot and cold pools, and an ice pool. It's shared by both men and women. The downside is the lack of seating, so I had to sit near foreigners who smoked and used foul language. Most of the people were tourists, mostly foreigners living here. Some came in groups, like middle-aged Japanese men, Europeans, and Arabs. They knew I was Thai, and they didn't seem to like me because I'm a Thai person with a low salary. I look educated but pathetic. And as expected, they didn't speak English. Even the Japanese tried to be condescending towards me; they spoke Chinese or Russian. The Chinese were strange; when they saw me, they laughed and said they liked to exploit prostitutes to ruin people's lives. They spoke Japanese or spoke loudly and aggressively. I didn't see them try to speak Thai even once, even though they were surrounded by Thai people. I don't hate them; they just didn't want to be friendly with Thai people like me. But Thai isn't difficult at all here in Thailand; you have a chance to learn it. I just wanted to give them some advice. 🇹🇭
