At least 389 people have been killed and more than 1,300 are missing, including 33 British tourists, in Nepal and Tibet, following devastating flash flooding on Wednesday. Rescue teams are searching for 826 people missing in Nepal and 558 in Tibet after a catastrophic torrent of floods and mud swept through several communities following a glacial collapse. A 13-year-old and 14-year-old are among the missing British nationals. In an update on Thursday, Nepali police said the number of those killed now stands at 389. They also broke down the death figures by district, with most bodies, 137, found in Chitwan, 87 in Nawalparasi East, 33 in Dhading, 32 in Gorkha, 28 in Nuwakot, 28 in Tanahun, 17 in Rasuwa and 27 in Nawalparasi West. Chinese state broadcaster CCTV said that three people have died on the Tibetan side of the border, that 260 of the 558 missing people in Tibet were foreigners and that two villagers were rescued.
