Irrespective of Brand's guilt or innocence this whole saga is clearly a form of process as punishment. The goal was to destroy Brand's influence, primarily because he effectively exposed the full gamut of covid crimes and could not be deplatformed directly from Youtube due to his impeccable journalistic modus operandi.
It's interesting to note that, although he was never deplatformed on Youtube, he was demonetised across all his channels in 2023 due to the allegations of rape and sexual assault which came out in that year.
Taking away his source of revenue was an important first step in process of disabling him.
His effectiveness as a true citizen journalist is the only reason this case ever went to trial.
I think they have largely succeeded in their goal. No one will ever look at Brand the same again even if he is exonerated.
This case also serves as a warning and a message to any celebrities in the future who might think they can sucessfully challenge authority on certain key topics. Most of them already know this of course, but this case serves as a sharp reminder from the power elite:
