All servitude is voluntary and the slave is more despicable than the tyrant is hateful
- G. A. Borgese

The fate of the world hangs in the balance. The result of the US election on Tuesday, November 3 will either propel the world forward into an era of increased freedom and prosperity or thrust us all into a technocratic, totalitarian dark age with China emerging as the new world superpower.

The result of this election will have a ripple effect which will radically affect every country on earth. Make no mistake: this is a contest between freedom and slavery. If the voting public of the United States chooses slavery they will drag us all along with them.

This could be the most pivotal moment in the whole of human history.

I am saying this as someone who has never been a big fan of Trump or American imperialism.  However, the issues which I have with the above now pale into insignificance to the larger, looming threat. I believe we are faced with a worst case scenario for human civilisation - something which will be darker and more destructive than anything seen in the 20th century - and that is really saying something.

The United States, for all its faults, is a country founded on certain precepts which are of crucial importance for our future as a species. If the US falls, then it is likely that these precepts, enshrined in the US Constitution, will also fall into perdition. The simple fact is that most countries don't have robust protections of freedom built into their constitutions.

Under a Biden led government the United States will remain crippled as China grows ever stronger. The psychology behind the virus hysteria is the worst aspect of the current situation. It is a psychology of helplessness, weakness and servitude. This psychological state, which has become the new zeitgeist throughout the Western world, puts us all into the mental state of "the conquered", while China continues to operate at full economic productivity and with almost no restrictions on daily life due to the purported global pandemic.

If you disliked American Imperialism you will find the Chinese version so much worse that you will dream of the lost age of American power as you cower in your cellar while your country is utterly destroyed, paving the way for Chinese "humanitarian intervention" in the form of invading armies. It will happen sooner that you think. The lead up to this situation was very slow and incremental. The culmination will be shockingly swift.

The important thing to remember when all hell breaks loose is that this happened because people allowed it to happen, because people chose slavery over freedom. If you retain the awareness of this salient truth then there is some possibility of redemption for you, even if your life is forfeited.

The quote I placed at the top of the story is key. If you chose slavery, then you are indeed "despicable". Those who supported mask mandates and all the other economic & civil rights violations and travesties in the name of protecting us from a virus are despicable. These people have led us to perdition. These people, who may be your work colleagues or your family members, are the greatest enemy to freedom we have ever faced. These people are the enablers of fascist bullies and psychopaths. These people, although they may act like decent folk who are trying to do the right thing by obeying the dictates of an unelected oligarchy, are the root cause of the catastrophe we now face.

Recently I watched some of the US Senate hearings testimony from the likes of Jack Dorsey and Mark Zuckerberg, and was struck by the ghoulish appearance of both these individuals. These individuals look as if they are under some kind of spell. They are clearly not in charge of what they are implementing. Those who are in charge don't show their faces. Quite possibly there is nobody in charge. I have not made up my mnd on this question. I have however made up my mind on the question of who is at fault, and it is us.

If freedom fails, then we failed, it is as simple as that.

Well written Winston. What do you suggest? Even if Trump does a second term, how much can he do and how long will it last against this juggernaut. The end is prophesied in scripture and will come sometime. For me, entering the Kingdom of God holds the answer, as there is true freedom, for eternity, believe it or not. Everything in this life is temporary. It's high time that men on earth started learning about the spiritual kingdom.

Interestingly, you use the word perdition more than once. It triggered the thought in my mind that perhaps we need to acquaint ourselves with what the scriptures say about the son of perdition.

Thanks for all on 5EP for the great commentary, reporting and fact finding.

Thanks Ray

I think the word derives from the French "perdu", I don't know why I used it - it just felt right.

I agree that a Trump victory will be perilous and is no guarantee against ultimate outcome which might be the same.
