Australian "democracy" has become a bad joke

Australia's ban on leaving the country is a mockery of everything we were taught about the fundamental basis of our society. It is also a mockery of the universal declaration of human rights and it is causing enormous suffering.

False imprisonment and being held hostage has that effect. That's why these are considered grievous offences.

Until now there has been no hint of a popular uprising against this shocking abuse of human rights. I guess people don't really know what to do. It is like a bad dream from which we want to wake up.

As admin of this platform, I'm voicing my outrage and my most bitter contempt for, and repudiation of, this shameless, barbaric, evil policy of the Morrison Liberal Government of Australia.

The national and state border closures are ... potential breaches of the UN's 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Australia was one of eight nations that helped draft this set of principles in 1948.

Under Article 13, 'Everyone has the right to freedom of movement and residence within the borders of each state.'

This clause also states: 'Everyone has the right to leave any country, including his own, and to return to his country.'
